Very good spot for SriLankan food lovers. You'd definitely find your favourite dish here with bit of a reminiscence of nostalgia! They offer dine in and take away. Gets busy over Fridays but you could place a phone order if you want to jump the queue. Quite similar to authentic SriLankan taste and serves very good portions of dishes. Also offers a wide variety of Indian dishes. Highly recommended!

Popular and very busy South Asian/Malay restaurant, and rightly so.The girls and I enjoyed a splendid lunch here today. The masala dosa ($10.50) was excellent. Great batter texture. Outstanding chutney and sambar. We ended up ordering two.The $15 meat combo was also great value. The goat meat was tender and the spinach dal and bean curry were delicious. Bold flavours.Warm welcome and the service for a casual eatery exemplary.Well worth the 40 minute drive.Would definitely come again.

Looking at the reviews and food going out, dining in might be better than the takeaway we got. It cost $59 for one large beef curry (500ml container), one small chicken curry (small round container same size as small Coles deli salad) and one small hot chicken curry (only 3 chunks of chicken fit in it), large vegetarian fried rice (650ml container), 2x parathas (1 piece = $2.50). We also ordered 3x items from the warmer ($5) and they were not put into the bag so missed out on trying those. The hot chicken curry was tasty.Chicken curry was not to my personal taste but chicken was cooked well. Contained small bones. The size of the chunks I didn't expect bones. The beef curry was not tender, it looked delicious but was super dry.Fried rice seemed to have only carrot and spring onion in it that you could see. Not alot of vegetables.Parathas were nice.2 of our 4 dishes pictured, note some beef had been eaten from the rectangular container). The lady serving originally put 4 pieces of chicken in the little round container but couldn't get the lid on so she took it out again. For what we got it was not worth $60 but was interesting to try. Upon looking at the photo of the menu board when we git home, we were charged for medium instead of the small for the chicken dishes.Other observations:Only half the bain marie was full. There were no vegetable dishes (apart from chick pea based) and when checking with chefs no more were coming out for the night (one lady asked for her money back while we were there).Only 2 or 3 types of sri lankan drinks available, no other options. Fridge was pretty bare. Some parts of the cafe needed a good clean. We visited at 5.30pm on a Sunday.Would not revisit.

Fantastic, authentic South Indian food. The idly are big, fat amd perfectly cooked. The dosa is thin yet soft with crisper edges. The thali is large enough to share for lunch. We had the veg version, and the 4 veg portions were all delicious. And of course.... the paratha.... authentic South Indian paratha. Flaky, chewy, supple.... I'm going again tomorrow for lunch and definitely another paratha. You need to try this place.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Loved the wide variety offered which made decision making harder. Idly, vadei, masala dosa, kottu, fried noodles, masala tea. Was told mutton curry was fabulous too. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me and the experience that we have was pleasant and satisfying. We had ordered the chicken kotthu , mutton kotthu , paratta with fish gravy and tea.. Al the items were authentic south Indian /SriLankan flavour..The dinning place is a decent, hygienic and spacious enough..Don't have to bother about the parking, there is plenty of space...Will definitely return to try the mutton meal set and chicken 65 fry..I recommend this place to others who is craving for or want to try something south Indian...

Visited for the first time with another family. For the range of food we sampled, the standout was the chicken kottu which was tasty and has interesting textures; chicken itself didnt contribute much but the overall dish was great. Goat curry was rich in flavor and the meat tender enough. Egg roti was average, pratha was fluffy and light, not oily but both wasnt something we would order again. Dosa was good. String hoppers were done well.Staff and service was good enough for a place like this. Cafe itself is simple and large enough for the crowd. It's a bit of a drive for us but we thought it was worth the time and we likely will return to try other kottu and curry dishes next time, and hopefully get to try their egg hopper.
